AFTERNOON & EVENING SAILING LESSONS + TOURS
Your voyage will depart from beautiful "Sidney By The Sea" at Port of Sidney Marina. Prepare for a wonderful sailing experience as you cast off and are transported into another word of whale, porpoise, eagle sightings and sounds.
Jump in the cockpit and lend a hand or relax on the for deck. We will navigate through the beautiful Gulf Islands, whether you're a novice or experienced sailor, all guests will have the opportunity to sail and laugh as you experience a 3 hour tour with Skipper Darren. Choose from an afternoon or evening sailing and bring up to 7 additional passengers with you!
We only Sail when the weather is nice. If it’s cold and rainy we will re-book your experience at no cost to you! Super easy and enjoyable experience but when the breeze blows, get ready for excitement!

- 3 hour instructional sailing.
- $175 per person + tax, min. 3 people (Max. 6-8)
MEET THE SKIPPER
"I have lived most of my life on Vancouver island and boating/sailing has been a major part of my life.
I have been teaching guests the thrill of sailing for over a decade. My experience and qualifications include:
- Sail Canada certified instructor
- Member of the BC Sailing School
- SVOP (Small Vessel Operator Proficiency)
- 60 Ton Master Skipper
- ROC (radio operator certification)
- Marine First Aid
- Marine Medical
Our school boat 'Desiderata' is a 40' C+C is a very well equipped and is certified by Transport Canada safety standard certified.
Your voyage is an "Introduction to Sailing", with a hands on learning experience were I will give you and your guests instruction about our voyage before casting off from the dock. This will include:
- Safety departure briefing
- Docking
- Helmsmanship
- Navigation and Chart Plotting
- Sailing terminology
- Sailing techniques
- Weather and wind identification
